Tankah Pueblo is a unique ecotourism park not open to the public, only a few operator are
allow to enter the park. That is to preserve the place and unique experience to see the real
Mayan people , one of the requirements to work and live in the park is to be fully Mayan and to
speak the language , the family and individuals who leaves here are directly decedent of the
ancient civilization . The park has 4 different cenotes where we have the chance to experience
swimming , zip lining and small cliff diving . A walk between the cenotes connect you with
nature and you will learn the importance of the flora and fauna of these region. A glimpse of the
traditional Mayan huts still in use today, the simplicity but functional multi palapas will lead us
to the main lunch area where you get to tastes two of the most representative dishes of the
Yucatan , Poc Chuc (thin steak pork’s marinated in sour orange and grill and open fire ) and
pollo pibil ( chicken marinated in anatto paste, slow cook ) pairing with some beans , rice,
guacamole and hand made tortillas. Made my the Mayan ladies of the place is the the high
light of your adventure , fresh hibiscus cold tea is serve to refresh your thirst .
We will like to stop and our local brewery of tulim for you to taste and learn the only beer made
here with desalinated Caribbean water . A full experience for your senses in this tour.
Bathing suit , comfortable shoes (water shoes ) a change of clothes and biodegradable
repellent is highly advice. please let us know if you have any food restrictions.
